Coaching volunteers are needed to help our LifeSports coaches accelerate the students' basketball skills and encourage teamwork.
Among other duties, coaching volunteers will assist in the set up of practices, facilitate drills and exercises alongside LifeSports coaches, and play alongside the students in various drills and scrimmages.
1-2 times per month
Working alongside our teaching liaisons, education volunteers will help students complete their homework and facilitate other work (reading, studying, worksheets, etc.).
Volunteers should feel comfortable with middle school math, science, and English material. Time and attention are our biggest resources. Spanish-speaking volunteers are a plus.
2-3 times per month
Up to 8th grade math & reading
LifeSports hosts a number of exciting events, summits, and tournaments throughout the year that require volunteers in a number of capacities.
These one-time commitments are an exciting way to meet our students and offer your time (both in preparation of these events and day-of). Attention to detail and boundless enthusiasm welcome.
One-time, 2-3 hours per event
No prior experience needed
LifeSports is looking for volunteers who can help prepare our students for life and broaden their skill sets.
If you are interested in connecting with our students by offering an after-school ‘LifeSkill’ presentation or ‘Fun Friday’ sport or game, we are excited to share your creativity and enthusiasm with our students.
